The end of UD golf?

Anyone see the new auto lineup from 2011 Allen & Ginter? Looks like Topps has Annika, Nancy Lopez and Jim Nantz in their autograph set this year! What does that mean for UD, who like to issue cards of 5-6 golfers in every set and Lopez and Sorenstam are two of them

- Maybe Topps will pick up the baton and get some golf action going?

I think what it was with the sticker autos is they signed a set amount and were paid a set amount and any subsequent leftovers were still owned by Upper Deck. The rights were probably exclusive during the terms of the contracts or while Upper Deck was releasing golf product. Annika, Lopez and Nantz are not currently under contract with Upper Deck to my knowledge so they are fair game for Topps. :putt:

I have always liked the Allen & Ginter cards and love the fact that they are now including golfers...

Kelton had a couple "custom" Natalie A&G card pics at one time that would have been sweet if they were real - Hey Kelton show 'em off again 8-)

I don't care who releases them, let's see some new stuff! Thanks Topps!

Maybe someday we will actually see them! Those are super cool. Wish I was enough of a geek to be able to make something like those on my computer :ugeek:

At this point, I'll take that (response from UD)! Better then a sharp stick in the eye. Come on UD, it's a no brainer! Especially given your current business situation.
